Afterworks is currently enrolling children for the coming school year.  If you or your friends/neighbors/relatives are looking for afterschool care for children ages 5 to 12, please contact Vyonni de Mel, Director, or visit our website.

Afterworks is Saint Peter's state-licensed multicultural after-school program for children 5 to 12 years of age. The program provides enriching and safe care, including religious education and opportunities for children to explore their faith. Our annual survey found Afterworks parents unanimous in their support for the coverage provides on snow days, early release, professional days, and during school vacation weeks.

Afterworks offers Saint Peter's parishioners a unique mission opportunity to minister to neighborhood children with prayers, time, money, and skills, in fulfillment of the command of Jesus Christ, "Let the little children come to me."

Afterworks offers significant scholarships to families with the greatest need and fewest resources. Many Cambridge working families rely on Afterworks to provide a safe and nurturing out-of-school environment for their children. In addition, Afterworks provides parents with a supportive community for their parents and a place for families to develop parenting skills.

Vyonni de Mel is the Director of Afterworks. She is assisted by a dedicated staff: Katrina Vilensky, Robert Wharton, Laura Fokkena (Literacy Coach), and Jafar Manselle (Drumming Instructor). The program is guided by an Afterworks Committee consisting of St. Peter's parishioners and two parent representatives. Please visit the Afterworks website for more information.
