All Are Welcome!

Stewardship 2012: Partners in Ministry

Partners in Ministry: Stewardship 2012 Update
Many thanks to all who have made a monetary commitment to St. Peter's ministry for 2012.  To date, we have received 63 pledges with a total amount pledged of $117,193 for which we are most grateful.  We're pleased to report that there are 14 new pledges with 11 increased pledges over last year.  As we continue, we hope that those who have yet to pledge will consider making a pledge commitment if possible.  A pledged commitment ensures a personal set of envelopes as well as financial tracking which is helpful for income tax purposes.  Pledge cards and envelopes are available in the back of the Church.  God bless all of us in our ministry together as we look forward to a great year of serving God in 2012.

Stewardship Sunday is December 11, 2011 this year! Stewardship Sunday is a great day to put your pledge card for the coming year into the offertory basket during the service.  On Stewardship Sunday, we will have a festive coffee hour to celebrate God’s abundance and the response of our community.

Leading up to December 11th, the Stewardship Ministry invites everyone to take time to reflect on this valuable aspect of discipleship. Enclosed are a letter from the Vestry, information about the stewardship campaign, a proportional giving worksheet, and a pledge card.  You can print out the pledge card and put it in the offering basket any Sunday, or you can mail it to our Collector, or you can pick up a printed pledge card from the Narthex of the church.

Our goal is 100% participation in stewardship - however much or little you decide, not out of guilt, but out of faith and thanks for the abundance of God.

Thank you for all that you do as a partner in ministry!

Expenses

In normal years our income more closely matches expenses.  This year’s shortfall was due to losing our parish house tenant three months early and several major repairs.  We are covering these expenses through the Parish Appeal and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the rectory.
