Please join us for our annual Advent Service of Lessons and Carols on Saturday, December 17th at 6:30pm (preludes begin at 6:15pm). This will be a wonderful service of readings, hymns and anthems and will include the music of Bach, Howells, Mendelssohn, Poston, Rachmaninoff, and others. It will feature St. Peter’s choir and James Dargan, violin. Our Advent Service of Lessons and Carols is a beautiful service that celebrates and reflects upon the season of Advent through word and song and includes many opportunities for congregational participation through singing. A free-will offering will be received to support St. Peter's music ministry. We hope to see you on December 17th!

As Disciples of Christ, we share the gifts of ourselves, our time, our talents and our money in support of the ministry of the Parish. When we continue to give for the benefit of others, the Church teaches us that God blesses us with even greater abundance.

How can we best support the ministry of St. Peter’s 2012?  Let us pray in thanksgiving for St. Peter’s, its ministry, and all those who make up this dynamic community of faith. Join the Wednesday night Adult Forum group as they study the Gospel of Mark.  They will be using the book, Meeting St. Mark Today by Daniel Harrington.  The Forum meets Wednesdays at 7:30pm in the Undercroft. Also, all are welcome to join the group for Eucharist Wednesdays at 6pm, and dinner immediately following the Eucharist.

St. Peter’s Church in Central Square, Cambridge, warmly invites all on Saturday, Nov. 5th at 8 p.m., to hear the Seraphim Singers perform their concert An American Sampler.  From the colonial era to the present day, American composers have bequeathed a rich legacy of choral music.  Exploring the breadth and depth of this tradition, the Seraphim Singers, with organist Heinrich Christensen, present works by Billings, Chadwick, Parker, Ives, Copland, Persichetti and a newly commissioned work by Carson Cooman.  Tickets are $20 adults/$15 students and seniors.  Contact the church for more information at 617-547-7788.
