CommonCare

CommonCare is a collaborative ministry of hospitality and food held biweekly.  On the second and fourth Saturdays of the month from September through July St. Peter's parishioners and many CommonCare friends gather to plan, prepare, and enjoy well prepared, healthy, and savory cuisine.  Averaging between 50 and 70 individuals per meal the program strives to embody Jesus' radical sense of hospitality, generosity, and witness in ways that feed body, heart, and soul.

CommonCare Saturdays begin at 2:00 pm with set up; followed by tea and friendly conversation at 3:00; meal preparation at 4:00, and serving the meal at 6:00.  We are usually finished clean up after the meal by 7:45.  We welcome new friends and hope you will come and take part in what many have come to appreciate as a wonderful experience which draws us back week in and week out.

Food Pantry

We also have a modest food pantry which distributes dry and canned goods, as well as what fruit and vegetables we may have received.  We welcome donations to the pantry: Simply drop off canned or dry goods at our office (Monday to Friday 9:30 am to 12:30 pm) or bring your donations to the Sunday Service of your choice and leave them in the large basket at the back of the church (ask the greeters for help, if need be).

Just a sample of the Saint Peters flavor...
