Church School
Our Sunday School program is designed to welcome and nurture children, from toddlers to teenagers, in the Christian faith. From mid-September until mid-June we meet Sundays at 10:15 a.m. in the Undercroft. We are blessed to have Karen Williams as our Church School Coordinator and lead teacher. Alicia and Diana Williams ably assist Karen and help actively engage our children in faith.
The program we use to foster our children's faith is the internationally recognized "Seasons of the Spirit." Seasons of the Spirit is a lectionary based curriculum which allows us to integrate teachings in Sunday School with the lessons heard during the services. Its principals goals are as follows:
- explore meaning and mystery in the Bible;
- celebrate in worship, sacraments, education, and service;
- engage in ministries of love, justice, and witness;
- and live in inclusive communities of faith, shaped and led by the Holy Spirit.
Our children and teachers have really taken to this curriculum and if you would like to know more about it visit: www.spiritseasons.com
