Everything we do at Saint Peter’s is about Christian formation.” Whether at prayer (offered six days a week) or other ministry activities, we are being formed as disciples walking in the footsteps of Jesus.
Christian formation helps us to grow in the love of God, others, and the created world. Saint Peter’s recognizes the lifelong nature of Christian formation by offering many opportunities for spiritual growth and development. We strive to include formation activities for all ages. Our rector also offers one-on-one pastoral care to anyone in need of spiritual guidance.
Formation is intimately bound up with our prayer life. If you would
like to deepen your experience of God in prayer, join us for prayer
and/or volunteering and also check out these online resources.

Every fall and winter Saint Peter's adults meet after worship for 45-minute presentations on a wide variety of faith topics, followed by group discussion.
At the Wednesday night Adult Forum, parishioners come together over dinner to discuss films, books, history, current events, and to think theologically together about spiritual questions.
The Forum meets Wednesdays from 7:30 to 8:30 pm in the church undercroft. To attend the forum, ring the doorbell at the 15 Sellers Street entrance to the church so that we may open the door for you. Here is the 2017 schedule of forum topics.
A 6:00 pm Service of Contemplative Holy Eucharist precedes the Adult Forum. To attend the service, enter the church by its front door. All are welcome to the simple dinner that immediately follows the Eucharist at 6:45 pm in the undercroft, followed by the Adult Forum.
In our Sunday School children learn foundational Bible stories that teach God’s love for us and the Good News of Christ Jesus. The lessons are based on a lectionary-based curriculum, Living the Good News, that engages children of many ages. Our Church School Coordinator, Chirusha de Mel, works closely with teachers, the Rector, and volunteers.
