This window sits in the Good Shepherd Chapel of St. Peter’s Church. Here we see a depiction of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, holding a sheep and carrying a shepherd’s crook.
In John’s Gospel, we hear the story of The Good Shepherd and His Sheep, John 10:1-18. In this story, Jesus tells the Pharisees and people, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep” John 10:11. Here Jesus alludes to the fact that we are his children, and he will eventually lay down his life for our sins.
